Criteria Stream
Skilled workers, professionals, or managers who have regular full-time employment offers or have been working on a HRSDC/NAFTA work permit for the minimum of six months with regular full-time employment offers in Saskatchewan are eligible to apply for SINP. You must score the minimum of 35 points on the federal skilled worker assessment if you have not worked in Saskatchewan for at least six months.

*Refugee claimants, live-in caregivers, workers under Arts and Entertainment Exemptions, and foreign workers in Low-Skilled Occupations Pilot Project are not eligible for SINP.

Skilled Workers
Physicians who have been practicing in Saskatchewan on a work permit for at least 6 months can apply for SINP as long as they have a regular full-time employment offer and have a letter of support from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CoPPS), Saskatchewan Health, and Regional Health Authority.

Licensed Practical Nurses, Psychiatric Nurses, or Registered Nurses who have been working in Saskatchewan on a work permit for at least 6 months can apply for SINP as long as they have a full-time employment offer and have a letter of support from Saskatchewan Health and Regional Health Authority. In addition, nurses need to have a letter of support from the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS), the Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses (SALPN), or the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses’ Association (SRNA) indicating that they have an unrestricted license to practice.

Health Professions
Farmers with proven experience and substantial capital available to invest in farming can apply for SINP. Farmers need to agree to purchase farming land in Saskatchewan.

Net worth of at least $500,000(CAD)

Signed offer (with a deposit of $75,000) to purchase an existing farming operation or land for a new farming operation in Saskatchewan

Visit Saskatchewan for at least 5 working days to conduct a comprehensive exploratory visit and attend an interview with a SINP representative

Farm operation knowledge and experience

Farmers
Graduated foreign students who have been working for a Saskatchewan employer can apply for SINP. Foreign students need to have graduated from a program of at least one academic year of full-time study with a certificate, diploma, or degree from a recognized post secondary educational institution in Saskatchewan. Foreign students need to have worked for a Saskatchewan employer for at least 6 months with a regular full-time employment offer. Foreign students have to have appropriate licenses or credentials that are required to work in their professions in Saskatchewan.

*Foreign students who have been sponsored by an agency or government and are expected to return to their home countries are not eligible.

Foreign Students
Business persons with proven experience in managing business may qualify for SINP if their proposed business would be a significant benefit to the Saskatchewan economy.

3+ years of business management or senior management experience

Personal net worth of $250,000(CAD)

Funds to establish a new business or an existing Saskatchewan business.

Business proposal plan or relocation and settlement plan

Visit Saskatchewan for at least 5 working days to attend a visitation seminar and interview with a SINP Business Immigration Officer

Deposit of $75,000(CAD) and sign a performance agreement

*Business persons must intend to manage and operate at least 33.3% of a business in Saskatchewan (with a minimum investment of $150,000) or invest a minimum of $500,000(CAD) into a business. When business persons do not have a responsibility to manage or operate a business, that business will be deemed a passive investment scheme and not qualify for SINP.

Entrepreneurs
