The Canadian Immigration for Federal Skilled Worker Immigration uses the points system to determine your eligibility for Permanent Residence.

General Points System

There are six criteria set namely: Education, Language Proficiency, Work Experience, Age, Arranged Employment and Adaptability. Each Criteria is assigned with its own no. of points and adding all would sum up to 100.

To pass through the Eligibility review, you must have at least 67 points or more. Anything lower would result into denial of admissibility. As an applicant, you must work out and determine how you can garner the maximum points.

The points for each criteria may change from time to time depending on the dictates of the Immigration office. It is best to check the CIC site to see the appropriate point distribution when you launch your application.
