Canada values education of an individual. Hence, this criteria has a weight of 25 points, the highest among the six. You should remember that education from the different countries vary in years. Say for example, some countries like the Philippines has six (6) years on the primary or elementary stage. In other countries, the primary education has seven (7) years. Because of that, education is based on the actual number of years in equivalence. In other words, the longer full time equivalent study, the higher points that you will get. Those who had their Masteral or Doctorate degree with at least 17 years of full time equivalent can get the maximum of 25 points. Applicants who finished only their Secondary School receive 5 points.
